This course introduces students to the chemical substances that make up living organisms. Learners will study inorganic and organic chemicals of life, their structures, functions, and importance in living cells. The course covers water, mineral salts, carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, vitamins, and nucleic acids, and explains how these chemicals support life processes.
